Mobile Device

The Mobile Device sub-module allows you to manage and monitor mobile assets, including Android and iOS devices.

Devices are automatically discovered when the mobile agent is installed and configured with the organization key. Once registered, the device is added as an asset and categorized based on its operating system.

The module provides visibility into device details, hardware information, installed applications, and location data (if enabled). It helps track mobile assets and ensures that device information is kept up to date through periodic agent synchronization.

circle-info

Categories, Category Templates, and Custom Fields in the Mobile Device module function similarly to those available in the IT Assets module.

How does it work?

Mobile device management is enabled through the mobile agent installed on the device.

  • Install the mobile agent on the device.

  • Enter the organization key during setup.

  • The device registers with the system and is added under the Mobile Device section.

  • Devices are automatically categorized into Android or iOS based on the operating system.

  • The agent periodically syncs data with the system to update device details.

Based on the configured settings, the agent collects and updates:

  • Device information (name, OS, model, etc.)

  • Hardware details (battery, network, security, etc.)

  • Installed applications

  • Location data (if enabled)

The collected data is displayed in the respective tabs within the mobile device details page. Any configuration changes are applied during subsequent agent sync.

What you see on the screen

The Mobile Asset View page provides detailed information about a selected mobile device. It displays device details, ownership information, hardware data, installed applications, and location information (if enabled).

The information is organized into tabs such as Details, Hardware, and Application, allowing you to view specific aspects of the device. Data displayed on this page is collected by the mobile agent and updated periodically during agent synchronization.
