# Meter Group

Meter Group is used to organize and manage **related meter configurations** under a single logical group. It helps administrators categorize meters based on operational purpose, usage type, maintenance category, environmental monitoring, compliance tracking, energy monitoring, and other business requirements.

The Meter Group configuration is associated with multiple inventory and meter management modules, where grouped meter configurations are used for monitoring, calculation, threshold evaluation, reporting, and operational tracking.

Using Meter Group, users can:

* Organize multiple meter configurations under a single group.
* Configure meter-level calculation and rollover settings.
* Associate meter groups with domains and operational categories.
* Simplify meter monitoring and reporting activities.
* Standardize meter configuration management across inventory operations.

An organization can create a Meter Group named “Energy Monitoring Group” to manage all energy-related meters used for power consumption tracking across facilities.

## **What you see on the screen**

The Meter Group page displays all configured meter groups along with their associated meter group type, configured meter-level configurations, descriptions, and management actions.

Users can:

* Search configured meter groups
* Apply filter conditions
* Create new meter groups
* Edit existing meter groups
* Delete meter groups
* Perform bulk selection operations

## **Add Meter Group**

Select **Add Meter Group** from the Meter Group listing page to create a new meter group configuration.

The Meter Group configuration process contains the following sections:

* Details
* Meter Level Configurations

**Add Details |** Add Meter Group

The Details tab allows users to configure the primary information required to create a meter group, including the group code, group name, group type, and description.

Example: Voltage meters, power consumption meters.</li><li><strong>Compliance</strong> – Used for regulatory, audit, and compliance monitoring requirements. **Meter Level Configurations |** Add Meter Group

The Meter Level Configurations tab is used to associate meters with the meter group and define calculation, rollover, and domain-related configurations for each meter.
