Meter Group
Meter Group is used to organize and manage related meter configurations under a single logical group. It helps administrators categorize meters based on operational purpose, usage type, maintenance category, environmental monitoring, compliance tracking, energy monitoring, and other business requirements.
The Meter Group configuration is associated with multiple inventory and meter management modules, where grouped meter configurations are used for monitoring, calculation, threshold evaluation, reporting, and operational tracking.
Using Meter Group, users can:
Organize multiple meter configurations under a single group.
Configure meter-level calculation and rollover settings.
Associate meter groups with domains and operational categories.
Simplify meter monitoring and reporting activities.
Standardize meter configuration management across inventory operations.
Example:
An organization can create a Meter Group named “Energy Monitoring Group” to manage all energy-related meters used for power consumption tracking across facilities.
What you see on the screen
The Meter Group page displays all configured meter groups along with their associated meter group type, configured meter-level configurations, descriptions, and management actions.
Users can:
Search configured meter groups
Apply filter conditions
Create new meter groups
Edit existing meter groups
Delete meter groups
Perform bulk selection operations
Meter Group | Basic Details
Search
Enter keywords in the search field
Search configured meter groups using Meter Group Name, Code, Type, or Description.
Example: Energy Meters
Filter
Click the filter icon
Apply advanced filter conditions to narrow meter group records. Fields: Name, Code, Type, and Description. Conditions: in, not in, equal to, contains, etc.
Add Meter Group
Click the button
Opens the Add Meter Group configuration window.
Code
Displays the configured group code
Shows the unique identifier configured for the meter group.
Example: GRP001
Meter Group Name
Displays the configured meter group name
Displays the configured name of the meter group. Example: Energy Meters
Meter Group Type
Displays the configured group type
Displays the selected meter group classification. Example: Usage
No of Meters Level Configurations
Displays the configured meter-level mappings count
Shows the total number of meter-level configurations associated with the meter group.
Description
Displays the configured description
Displays additional details configured for the meter group.
Action Icons
Edit Icon
Click the Edit icon
Modify the selected meter group configuration.
Delete Icon
Click the Delete icon
Remove the selected meter group configuration from the system.
Add Meter Group
Select Add Meter Group from the Meter Group listing page to create a new meter group configuration.

Add Details | Add Meter Group
The Details tab allows users to configure the primary information required to create a meter group, including the group code, group name, group type, and description.
Group Code
Enter a unique code for the meter group.
GRP001
Group Name
Enter the name of the meter group.
Energy Meters
Group Type
Select the category type for the meter group.
The selected group type defines the meter group's operational purpose. Available options include:
Usage – Used for grouping meters related to resource or utility consumption tracking. Example: Electricity usage meters, water usage meters.
Condition – Used for monitoring equipment or asset condition parameters. Examples: Temperature-monitoring meters, pressure-condition meters.
Performance – Used to track operational efficiency and performance metrics. Example: Equipment efficiency meters, output performance meters.
Maintenance – Used for maintenance-related monitoring and servicing activities. Examples: Preventive maintenance meters, runtime-tracking meters.
Energy – Used for monitoring and analyzing energy-related measurements. Example: Voltage meters, power consumption meters.
Compliance – Used for regulatory, audit, and compliance monitoring requirements. Example: Environmental compliance meters, safety audit meters.
Environmental – Used for monitoring environmental conditions and sustainability parameters. Example: Air quality meters, humidity monitoring meters.
Custom – Used for creating organization-specific meter grouping categories based on operational requirements. Example: Custom business monitoring groups.
Description
Enter additional information about the meter group.
Group for monitoring energy-related meter configurations across facilities.
Select Next to proceed to the Meter Level Configurations tab after entering the required details.
Meter Level Configurations | Add Meter Group
The Meter Level Configurations tab is used to associate meters with the meter group and define calculation, rollover, and domain-related configurations for each meter.
Meter
Select the meter to associate with the meter group.
Displays the list of configured meters available in the system.
Example: Voltage Meter
Rollover Logic
Select the rollover handling method for the selected meter.
Defines how the system handles meter value rollover scenarios. Available options include:
No Rollover – Meter values continue normally without rollover handling.
Fixed Max – Meter resets automatically after reaching a predefined maximum value.
Auto Reset – System automatically resets and recalculates meter readings after rollover.
Manual Reset – Meter rollover handling requires manual intervention by the administrator.
Average Calculation
Select the averaging calculation method for meter readings.
Defines how average values are calculated for meter readings. Available options include:
None – No averaging is applied to readings.
Moving Average – Calculates the average based on the latest set of readings continuously.
Sliding Window – Calculates averages within a defined reading window size.
Rolling Average – Continuously updates average values by adding new readings and removing older values.
Sliding Window Size
Enter the number of readings to be considered for sliding window calculations.
Applicable when the Sliding Window average calculation method is selected. Example: 10
Domain
Select the domain associated with the meter configuration.
Displays the list of configured domains available in the system.Example: Electrical Meter Domain
Apply Meter
Enable or disable the meter application for the configuration.
When enabled, the selected meter configuration is applied and considered for monitoring and calculations. When disabled, the meter configuration remains inactive within the group.
Add Another
Add another meter-level configuration row.
Allows configuring multiple meters within the same meter group.
Select Save to create the Meter Group with the configured meter-level settings.
