# Reading Type

Reading Type is used to define and configure different types of readings used for meter and monitoring operations within the Inventory Settings module. It helps standardize reading calculations by associating readings with Meter Types, Domains, Units of Measure, and Average Calculation Methods.

This section is related to the following configurations:

* Meter Type: Used to associate the reading with a specific meter category.
* Domain: Used to classify the reading under a specific operational domain.
* Unit of Measure: Used to define the measurement unit for the reading.

## **What you see on the screen**

The Reading Type page displays the list of configured reading types, along with their associated domain, meter type, average calculation method, unit of measure, and description.

This section allows users to search for, filter, add, edit, and delete reading-type configurations:

* Reading Name
* Domain Name
* Meter Type
* Average Calculation Method
* Unit of Measure
* Description
