Unit Conversion
The Unit Conversion section is used to configure conversion relationships between different units of measurement used across inventory and asset operations.
Unit Conversions are associated with:
Unit of Measure configurations
Item Groups
Inventory calculations
Procurement operations
Asset Management workflows
These configurations help standardize quantity conversions and ensure accurate inventory calculations across different measurement units.

Kilogram to Gram
Meter to Centimeter

What You See on the Screen
The Unit Conversion page displays the list of configured unit conversion mappings available in the Inventory Settings module. This page allows users to create, search, filter, edit, and delete unit conversion configurations.
The records table displays the following details:
From Unit: Displays the source measurement unit configured for conversion.
To Unit: Displays the target measurement unit configured for conversion.
Description: Displays additional details related to the configured conversion.
Unit Conversion | Basic Details
Search
Enter a keyword in the search box
Used to search unit conversion records based on configured values.
Filter
Click the Filter icon
Used to apply filter conditions based on fields such as From Unit and To Unit.
Add Unit of Conversion
Click Add Unit of Conversion
Used to create a new unit conversion configuration.
Action Icons
Edit Icon
Click the Edit icon
Used to modify an existing unit conversion configuration.
Delete Icon
Click the Delete icon
Used to remove an existing unit conversion configuration.
Bulk Edit
Checkbox Selection
Select the checkbox beside the record
Used to Delete one or multiple records.
Add Unit of Conversion
The Add Unit of Conversion window is used to configure conversion relationships between two measurement units, including the conversion factor and the associated item group.
Add Unit of Conversion | Field Details
From Unit *
Select a unit from the dropdown
Specifies the source unit from which the conversion starts. Example: Kilogram
To Unit *
Select a unit from the dropdown
Specifies the target unit to which the conversion is applied.
Example: Gram
Conversion Factor *
Enter the conversion value
Defines the numerical conversion factor between the selected units.
Example: 1000
Item Group
Select an item group from the dropdown
Associates the conversion configuration with a specific item group or commodity category.
Example: Weight
Description
Enter additional details
Provides supporting information related to the unit conversion configuration.
Example: Basic metric conversion used for inventory calculations.
Preview
Displays the generated conversion preview
Shows the calculated conversion relationship based on the selected units and conversion factor.
Example: 1 kilogram (KILO) = 1000 gram (GRM)
Once added, click Submit to save the configured Unit Conversion.
