Unit of Measure
The Unit of Measurement section is used to configure standardized measurement units for inventory, asset, and item-related operations across Enterprise Asset Management modules.
These units are referenced while configuring:
Attributes
Item Templates
Item Master
Unit Conversion mappings
Meter readings
Inventory transactions
Standardized units help maintain consistent measurements across procurement, inventory tracking, maintenance, and operational workflows.

Kilogram (kg)
Gram (g)
Meter (m)
Liter (L)
Square Foot (ft²)
What you see on the screen
The Unit of Measurement page displays all configured measurement units along with search, filtering, pagination, and management actions.
Users can:
Search configured units
Apply filter conditions
Create new units
Edit existing units
Delete units
Perform bulk selection operations
Unit of Measurement | Basic Details
Search
Enter keywords in the search field
Search configured units using Name, Description, or Abbreviation.
Example: Kilogram
Filter
Click the filter icon
Apply advanced filter conditions to narrow unit records.
Fields: Name, Description, and Abbreviation.
Conditions: in, not in, contains, etc.
Add Unit of Measure
Click the button
Opens the Add Unit of Measure configuration window.
Name
Displays the configured unit name
Shows the configured measurement unit name. Example: Kilogram
Abbreviation
Displays unit abbreviation
Displays the short form of the unit. Example: kg
Add Unit of Measurement
Select the Add Unit of Measure option from the top-right corner of the page.
The Add Unit of Measurement window is used to configure standardized units for inventory and asset-related operations.
Add Unit of Measurement | Field Details
Unit Name *
Enter the unit name
Specify the measurement unit name. Example: Kilogram
Abbreviation *
Enter the unit abbreviation
Specify the short form of the unit.Example: kg
Description
Enter additional details
Provide a brief description of the unit usage. Example: Used for measuring the inventory weight of items.
Once added, click Submit to save the configured Unit of Measurement.
Unit Name and Abbreviation are mandatory fields.
