Event and Summary Filters in Ticket Dashboard Widgets

The Event and Summary fields are available as custom filters in dashboard widgets to further refine ticket data displayed in widgets such as Ticket Summary, Ticket Assignment Summary, Aging Summary, Count, and Created vs Closed.

These filters allow users to narrow widget data by text-matching ticket summaries or event types across the Incident, Problem, Change, and Request modules.

Supported operators:

  • Event: in, contains, not in

  • Summary: in, contains, not in

When applied, the widget refreshes to display only records that match the configured filter criteria.

circle-info

Note: Service Category is available in the custom filter for ITSM widgets. Selecting one or more categories filters the widget data accordingly.

circle-info

Note:

  • The Summary and Event fields appear in the filter field dropdown when adding a custom filter.

  • The contains operator allows partial text matching (for example, filtering all tickets with the word server in the summary).

  • Filters cannot be applied without entering a value. If the value field is left empty, a validation message is displayed, and the filter is not applied.

  • Clearing the custom filter restores the widget to display all applicable records.

Count Summary Widget

The Count Summary widgets offer high-level aggregation and drill-down capabilities for the Ticket, Request, Problem, Change, and Release modules. These widgets support flexible data grouping and multiple drill-down levels, empowering users to visualize and analyze operational metrics with greater depth.
