Business Service
It offers a centralized interface to monitor the health, availability, and performance of components critical to applications or IT services. Instead of observing individual metrics or devices separately, this module provides visibility into how they collectively impact overall service performance.
By grouping related assets, such as application nodes, databases, and APIs, into a single logical unit, teams can visualize dependencies, understand impact areas, and receive timely alerts when service disruptions occur.
Monitor key business services in real time with automated polling and status indicators
Visualize upstream and downstream dependencies across service components
Receive instant alerts and minimize downtime with quick issue identification
Group multiple services and drill down into specific service nodes for detailed analysis
Configure dashboards with business service widgets for real-time summaries
Track service availability and ensure compliance with SLA-based performance metrics
How does it work
Business Services comprise multiple interconnected resources such as processes, databases, TCP ports, and system metrics.
Each resource is represented as a node within a visual editor.
Users can configure process monitoring, disk monitoring, TCP checks, and more, based on available statistics for each node.
Nodes can be grouped in HA/DR (High Availability/Disaster Recovery) modes using logical conditions (e.g., "anyone should be up", "both must be up").
Business Service health is evaluated using polling agents' event counts and availability data.
Failures in one or more components are visually highlighted and reflected in dashboards and alerts.
What Do You See on the Screen
On the listing page, you can view all configured services, their status, health percentage, associated events, and timestamps. This page helps you monitor service availability at a glance and take quick action when needed.
You can search and filter services, check their real-time health, and use the action icons to view, edit, put a service into maintenance, or delete a configuration.
