BMC Software

The BMC Software integration with Infraon Infinity allows customers to seamlessly sync all discovered IT assets—including networks, VMs, hosts, and routers—into the Infraon platform. This ensures accurate, real-time asset visibility across dashboards and reports, while maintaining predefined asset categories and eliminating the need to rediscover assets already managed in BMC.

How to Install

Installation Steps

Step 1: Go to the Marketplace tab on the left navigation panel to begin the integration. Click on the BMC Software card from the available integrations to open the plugin details page.

Step 2: On the plugin page, click the Install button to add the BMC integration to your Infraon environment.

Once installed, the configuration page will become available for setup.

Step 3: In this step, set up the connection between Infraon Infinity and BMC Software by entering the required integration details:

Field	Description
BMC URL / IP Address	The base URL or IP address where your BMC Software instance is hosted. This allows Infraon Infinity to establish a direct connection with your BMC environment.
Permanent Access Token	A secure token generated from your BMC system to authenticate API calls. This ensures safe and authorized communication between the platforms without exposing user credentials.

Ensure the access token has the appropriate permissions to fetch asset data from BMC.

Once added, click on Verify to continue.

Step 4: Once the credentials are verified, the Settings tab will display three key configuration options to manage the BMC integration:

Field	Description
Sync Data	Manual synchronization between BMC Software and Infraon Infinity is initiated. This updates the IT asset inventory in Infraon based on data from BMC. Note: The process may take some time depending on the asset volume. Ensure all critical systems are stable before proceeding.
BMC Configuration	Click to configure or update the credentials required for BMC integration. This step is essential for seamlessly syncing discovered assets from BMC into Infraon Infinity.
Schedule Sync	Automate periodic synchronization of asset data between BMC and Infraon Infinity. Customize the schedule to target specific asset groups or set regular sync intervals.

The integration is now completed.
