Ring Central

The Infraon Ring Central marketplace integration creates a seamless connection between the requester and the technicians while resolving tickets. This will be achieved through a cloud-based communication system that combines calling features with collaboration tools, allowing for faster issue resolution and ultimately leading to faster resolution for customers.

How to Install

Installation Steps

STEP 1: Installing the integration

STEP 1.1: Log in to your Infraon account. On the left panel, click on the Marketplace tab and select “Ring Central” integration.

STEP 1.2: After clicking the tab, click on Install.

STEP 1.3: Once the installation is done, click on the Ring Central-Infraon configuration tab.

STEP 1.4: Enter the credentials as prompted in the respective call-out boxes.

Label

Description / Example

Client ID*

The unique identifier generated in your RingCentral developer account for API authentication.

Example: a1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8

Client Secret Key*

A secure key paired with the Client ID to authenticate API requests.

Example: x9y8z7w6v5u4t3s2

Server*

The RingCentral API server URL or environment (e.g., Sandbox or Production).

Example: https://platform.ringcentral.com

User*

The Infraon platform user account will be linked with the RingCentral integration and selected from the drop-down list.

JWT Token*

JSON Web Token is for secure authentication without using a username/password. Obtained from the RingCentral admin portal.

Add

Allows you to add and configure additional user credentials for multi-user setup within the same organization.

Follow the steps below to add the credentials.

STEP 2: Register an App

STEP 2.1: Log in to the Ring Central webpage.

STEP 2.2: After logging in, go to the developer guides. Navigate to the "Voice" section and find the "Getting Started" page. Click the "Create RingOut App" button to begin.

STEP 2.3: Begin the app registration process by clicking "Register App."

STEP 2.4: Select the app type and click on ‘Next’ to continue.

STEP 2.5: Now, enter the app name, description, and primary contact information in the ‘Add properties’ section. Click on the (i) button for more details.

STEP 2.6: In the ‘App Card’ section, shape the app's appearance on the App Gallery. Use these fields to configure its presentation. For more help, click on the (i) button to learn how to customize profiles for partners' app galleries.

STEP 2.7: In the ‘Auth’ section, locate and choose the authentication type that aligns with the organization’s security protocols.

Select ‘Yes’ to issue refresh tokens.

STEP 2.8: Add the required security scopes and configure security by specifying access levels in the security section. “Public” grants unrestricted access, while “Private” limits access only to authorized users.

STEP 2.9: Select the app features as per the requirements and click “Create” to register the app.

The app has now been registered.

STEP 3: Obtaining the Access Credentials

STEP 3.1: Navigate to Step 2.3 and click the newly created app to access its details.

STEP 3.2: On the panel, select the Dashboard tab.

STEP 3.3: Copy and paste the API server URL, Client ID, and Client Secret into the Infraon portal's configuration page. (STEP 1.4)

STEP 4: Generating the JWT Token

STEP 4.1: Click on the user account icon, then navigate to the Credentials tab to continue.

STEP 4.2: Click Create JWT to generate a unique JWT for each specific user. Make sure to save the generated token securely for later use in the configuration.

STEP 4.3: On the Create JWT page, enter a descriptive label (e.g., Infraon Call Credentials) and choose the environment that matches your server URL—Production or Sandbox.

Then, proceed to configure the allowed applications as needed.

STEP 4.4: Check the required selection

Now open the same downloaded JSON file, access the JWT token, and paste it into the Infraon portal's configuration page.

STEP 4.3: After adding the required credentials, click "Verify" to complete the Ring Central and Infraon integration.

The above process is now completed.
